The Origin
The Anoa'i/Fatu Bloodline's roots run deep back in time. It all started when Paul Heyman managed 'The Samoan Swat Team' all the way back in 1988 when he used to be called Paul E Dangerously. The group consisted of 4 members including Rikishi(Father of 'The Usos' twins). Joe Anoa'i(better known as 'Roman Reigns') would grow up in a very tight knit family, but he was especially close to his cousins Joshua Fatu and Jonathan Fatu(better known as Jey and Jimmy Uso).
Start of A New Generation
As fate would have it, many years later, Paul Heyman would manage CM Punk who secretly started a faction to protect him called 'The Shield'. It would happen to be that one of the members of 'The Shield' was none other than Roman Reigns, son of Sika Anoa'i of 'The Wild Samoans' twin brothers. Roman Reigns would go on to have a run with some ups and many downs until he had to leave briefly for personal reasons. It so happened that Roman was very frustrated with the creative direction of his character and so he wanted to turn heel(villain) for his return and so for the first time in his career, it happened and he turned heel.
He(now nicknamed 'The Tribal Chief') got paired with Paul Heyman('The Wiseman') and within a month into his return, he regained his WWE Universal world title. That wasn't enough though, he wanted his family by his side to lead them into "The Promise Land", so he turned to his cousin Jey Uso. Jey was resitant, but Roman and Paul were persistant with manipulation to force Jey to "fall in line". They went to the lowest levels to force Jey into being his right hand, even putting his brother in danger for him to fall in line. Eventually Jey Uso and then Jimmy Uso would be forced to fall in line to join their cousin to have a very dominant run as 'The Bloodline' where they won championship titles and held the titles hostage for years. Until eventually, Roman's arrogance caught up to him and little by little he lost control, lost his family, lost his world title, and even lost his wiseman. Now he tries to gain back what was once his. Forced into a path of redemption and forced to change his ways so that maybe one day he can return back on top.
